Back in the days when the term "Personal Digital Assistant" was not invented yet, the acronym PDA had a totally different meaning. It meant "Public
Display of Affection". To the uninitiated with the above idiom, PDA means the annoying tendency that some couples display in public, including but not limited to: kissing, hugging
and talking in baby voices.
If one could hope that the advent of the cold age of digital information would at least save us from that plague, the reality is rather grim: The age
of the Net has provided us with a most hideous mutation of that behavior, namely: Common e-mail addresses and ICQ accounts for couples.
People! How much do you think I like clicking on "AsafHadas" on my ICQ, just to find out that it is not my good friend Asaf who is online, but his
irritating girlfriend? You guessed right.
Look, there is a good reason that most client programs like ICQ have included the convenient option of multiple accounts on one computer. Not to
mention how easy it is to open an additional account on Hotmail these days. So, please. Use it.
And another thing. When you two will inevitably break up (at last), you will have another thing to fight about when dividing your property: Who will
get "shmoopy@hotmail.com".
