:: Hibernation ::

The NASDAQ things are full of Bull. Well, people say it might become a Bear, but for most of us here in the Wadi it will still be full of Bull.

What is not full of Bull for us is what happens here in the Wadi. Hibernation is what I fear, the time when our own Bull Wadi becomes a Bear. Let me explain.

Me, my fellow writers for the list, and most of my buddies, work in a specific sector of the Wadi industry, the Start-Up sector. Unlike our more balanced co-workers in the industry, we do not produce but rather we build companies that will change the world. And though some would not agree, I think we do this in a very specific way - we mobilize Investor money from their bank account to ours. Sure we do many things, we write code, we consult, we speak, we browse, but we stay focused. Focused on the mobilization process.

And now I hear of more and more companies running out of money and figuring it's going to be harder to raise money they don't offer bonuses, don't raise salaries, cut on costs, cancel trips to Greece and other unheard of things.

Hibernation.

Waiting for the winter to end, fighting the burn rate.

And for once, I have no idea what we can do. Poverty will be such a horrible thing.
