:: No-Market ::
I'm troubled.
For years now I have been spending my money on all kinds of Internet and communication services. My household has two phone lines, two cellular
providers, one cable provider and three ISPs. I do all my grocery shopping on-line as well as manage my bank account and stock portfolio and I frequently visit a large number of
Israeli web sites.
But I'm troubled.
I'm troubled because I found out all the money I spend is not important. Israel is a No-Market. And that makes me a No-Customer. No one will fund a
company who will offer ME services, while you can easily find money to fund a vertical on-line fish market and community for the residents of Ozark Alabama.
And since no companies are funded, on-line services are running on low budgets, offering as a result just a small fraction of what people in the US
get. If there is No-Market, there is No-Service. Simple.
So when will this change?
I don't know. But I have a feeling it will happen just in time for the grand opening of the Tel-Aviv Subway.
As we all know this will happen very soon. So I wait.
