I was unpleasantly surprised to find the new version of the "Yellow Pages" ("Golden Pages" in our superlative-loving language) at my doorstep last week. Not that I don't like getting 1500 pages of advertising delivered (the equivalent of 17,000 pieces of junk mail), it's just that I kind of hoped to not see it in print anymore.

At least in the 03 calling area, I think it would be a safe guess to distribute this information on CD, with an option to receive the printed version (as of lately in color!), if one really insists. It's cheaper, more convenient, searchable, and so much lighter.

The only number that really should be in print (on the CD, perhaps) is that of a local computer technician - in case my CD-drive or the surrounding heap of silicon fails me.

With that in mind, I just followed the annual ritual and replaced the 1999 version of my monitor stand, with the brand new one.
