:: The Lion King ::
Who said Disney is for kids.
In the movie "The Lion King" there is a very impressive scene in which a herd of animals is roaming the savanna. Those are probably Gnus, but I'm not
much of a zoologist and Disney animals are never much like the real world animals - just look at Mickey Mouse - well, this is not the case anyway - it's a herd of animals and they
are running, that is the point. Let's move on.
Disney created the scene using computer animation and a computerized model. The model is one in which the animated objects are given a simple set of
rules and interact with each other and the environment to create the complex scene.
Which is much like in the real world.
The rules are simple - invest/build/work in companies that will make you rich, make sure you are never alone in a field and once you see a company that
succeeds - move into the same area.
And the herd roams the Wadi.
Internet - move left, invest, ICQ on the horizon, move right, invest in more of the same, B2B, run, invest, dump, Tredium, turn around, run, market
collapse, turn around again, WAP, run, Optical Networks, run, Chromatics, run, dump WAP, run, run, run.
Well, you might expect a lesson to be learnt. Well here it is, it's good to be the king, but if you run long enough you might find out you can even
pull it as a Gnu.
