:: Kadish.com? ::
An interesting new market emerges lately across the internet. This market was ingeniously dubbed "vertical portals 6 feet
deep" by WIRED magazine, and those portals' trade is death.
Finalthoughts.com, death-dying.com and others provide soon-to-be-gones with ways to deal with the inevitable. On those
sites you can chat to similarly positioned people, arrange funeral services, choose a church and best: Leave emails for friends, family and foes; emails that will be sent on the
day you leave this world for a better one.
I, personally, find courage in the way that this market is growing, and in the fact that I will be able to choose the way I
go, when I do. Thing is I won't.
Not only is the Israeli internet-death market nowhere to be expected, even the real-world death economy is still ruled by a
rich monopoly that cynically exploits the grief of you, me, and our fellow citizens.
Let me known when finalthoughts.co.il is up. I will be much happier on that day. I will be able to go in
peace.
