:: Goa and you ::
When I was travelling in India, I met a British girl. She was chatting at the time with a
fellow Brit, and not knowing that I was from the Holy Land, she slipped a very interesting sentence about an Israeli traveler she was having an affair with in Goa: "An Israeli is
for Christmas, not for life".
What this girl meant was that having some fun in the Goan Christmas sun was all the seriousness
you could expect from an Israeli male. This might be true and it might not be. The problem is that most Israeli men would find this as a compliment, as a real
coup.
Israeli start-up companies usually boast the same self-confidence. They never claim to be
serious, they are in for the fun, and when they are not taken seriously by off-shore factions, they seem to be even more confident in their ways.
This usually goes on until a small B-rated off-shore company buys up the debty remains of the
start-up, and the young Israelis come home with their tail between their legs.
And, as long as they're packed already, they might decide to make a stopover in Goa on the way
home.
