Last week Eli Lilly stock sunk over 30% on news that the company lost its patent protection for Prozac.

No matter how much we try to ignore them, the biotechs and pharmaceuticals always come back to haunt me with their double helix, protein chains and new medicine. Most normal people know nothing of what they do, which is just about what normal people know of what Networking companies do. And on this specific issue I hold myself to be normal. I have no idea what is it that they do, but every time I get news on the bios and pharmas, I get the feeling it is not really about finding a cure for cancer or something like this.

There will be money in finding a cure for cancer, but there might be just as much in what I came to call "Life Style Medicine". That is the kind of medicine that is not designed to save your life but rather make them worth living. Think Prozac, think Viagra, hell, think Ecstasy, if you can still think.

Legal or not legal, these are the hits of the industry. And they are all about Life Stlye.
