:: Milestone Investing ::

I was so busy watching the swimmers at the Sydney pool I missed my milestone - Wadi List issue #0100. Lucky for me, my milestone had no meaning. But, for other Wadi companies it's the world. And the fate of many Wadi start-ups might depend on reaching a milestone.

You see, with the amounts needed to build the damn thing more and more companies now have some kind of milestone they need to reach in order to actually receive all the money they "raised". It's called "Milestone Investing".

Got beta? Get a buck. Got an American CEO? Get two. Signed a letter of intent? Go buy yourself a burger. And so on. Milestones, that if one reaches them at record speed, one is supposed to be able to make it all the way, thus reducing the risk for investors. And this brings me to something I need to share with you.

Have you noticed how many world records were broken at the Sydney pool? Can it be that it's not because they swim faster but because the pool is shorter?

No. Can't be. No risk here. Milestone investing is good.

See you in Athens 2004. Just reach the milestone.
