:: Almost Right ::

Being almost right is sometime better than being all right.

Every once in a while I took the chance of comparing one company to the other and predicting which will win. Up to now I was almost right.

I had I-Mesh up against PlayJ.

I sided with I-Mesh. I was almost right. I-Mesh is still a great product with tons of users but at the same time a very ugly story on the inside. PlayJ is still well funded but where the hell is it going?

I had Babylon up against GuruNet.

I sided with Babylon. I was almost right. GuruNet is gone. Renamed Atomica and going into the very sexy business of knowledge management. Babylon is out picking cent by cent to breakeven.

Now why am I telling you this?

Simple, so you will continue reading the Wadi List and think it has smart insights.

And why is it better to be almost right?

Because the game never ends. Never. And there is no way to be all right. Just almost.

That is the lesson for today.

The Wadi List is back (for a while).
