:: Vomit - Part 1 ::

A friend of mine forwarded me an e-mail he, and some of his friends, got with a resume attached. As the mail specifically asked to pass on the resume to any companies looking for qualified individuals, and as I assume most of you readers are working for such companies, here is the thing:

Subject: Hello from [Company Name]

I wanted to contact you in order to inform you that I am currently looking for new employment. I am presently and happily employed with [Company Name], although the prospect of us securing our next round of financing seem to be dwindling by the days, and bottom line I need to think of how I will pay my bills. This has put me in a bit of an awkward situation, whereas I am working for a company, whose product, team and dream I all believe in; but where the money has yet to arrive.

Throughout my employment history, I have shown time and time again the ability to successfully secure strategic partnerships and clients. I have helped in creating, directing and implementing sales, marketing and business development strategies and have managed a team to work with me in achieving these goals. My experience has given me the advantage in knowing not only the Israeli market, but the American and some of the European as well. I would greatly appreciate it if you can pass on my resume to any companies looking for qualified individuals matching my skill set. Thank you for the help and look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
[Person Name]
VP Business Development
[Company Name]

That made my friend wanna vomit.

I had the same feeling.

And I'll do the vomiting tomorrow.
