Shrinkage::
In today's Wadi List Issue we will learn
to use "Save As" to protect us from the
effects of shrinkage.
But first, a story.
A few years back a company named Wang that
used to be the leading provider of Word processing
Machines (yep, machines), filed a patent claim against
Netscape and AOL. Wang claimed infringement of several
patents among those the one that let users save Web
pages to their hard drive using the "Save As"
command under the file menu. Lucky for us Wang patent
claims were dismissed.
So now we can freely use the "Save
As" option. And we need it.
Start roaming Wadi VC fund sites and save
any portfolio page you find.
Those pages are shrinking. The first sign
I caught was GoldNames missing from the Yazam.com
portfolio page, but as we already bashed Yazam.com
enough we shell not hold this one against them. It will
happen to ALL other VCs.
But then again, we must have another one
before we let it be.
Just picture a Yazam.com executive yelling
at his investors: I WAS IN THE WATER!

P.S - why am I calling them, Yazam.com and
not just Yazam? Well, after you spend so much on your
brand, you can't expect people to just forget it, can
you? Sorry, bashing again, bygones.
