:: Gone With The Wind ::

When Pets.com and Garden.com are closing down, you should know by now that this is deep shit, or if to use another expression, the shit has hit the fan. Or both.

Now though we here in the Wadi were very careful with this e-commerce thing, we did produce some other types of Start-Ups that are doomed. Recent reports from VCs and Banks indicate a flood of companies asking, sorry, begging, for money. Those bang on every door possible, offering ever growing parts of their company for a buck. They address anyone who might provide an answer to the question that worries them all - what do we do now. Where do we go from here.

A lot of people put a lot of work into those companies and businesses. Even more important, they dreamt a lot of dreams. Now it will be gone. Completely. Totally. There will be no salvation. The show is ending. And just before it ends Scarlett will ask Rhett: "If you go ... where shall I go? What shall I do?" And Rhett will answer: "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."

And that is one of the best scenes in history. So even if you work for such a company, even if you are the investor or founder, stop worrying, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.

And remember - there will be other great shows coming in the following years.

I heard "Titanic" should be a good.
