:: First Look :: Cellonet Vs. Cellenium :: Part 2 ::

So what did Herbert George Wells knew about payment systems when he wrote The War of the Worlds?

Do you remember who won the war?

Bacteria did. An unaccounted for, invisible, insignificant force, winning the technical war with the Martians. It just killed them all after they killed almost all humans alive.

Cellonet, Cellenium, and all the rest out there hoping to win the Payment System War, think they fight each other. But, they are facing an unaccounted for enemy. A deadly force. A low-tech force that will beat them all.

Think of a randomly selected Wadi employee.

When she drives her leased car into the Gas station she will not pay with cash nor will she pay with a credit card, she will pay with something we usually call "Dalkan". An automatic payment system already built into her car. When she has to enter the parking she will not pay with cash either. She wouldn't even stop. The parking will just open when a low cost Radio Card in her car announces her approach.

This is not the future. This is how things work today. And it is tough to see why we should replace those things with complex cellular systems. In a way Bacteria has already won the war.

Commercial wisdom can sure be found in strange places.
