And another thing about being a single white male and on the job hunt. What's with all the girls?

I mean, whoa!?

Wherever I went and no matter how big or how small the company I interviewed in was, they made sure that some 19-25 year old girl followed me out to the corridor and asked me how I liked the company, and how some of these people here are geeks, and isn't the VP R&D boring, but just think how much fun it would be when we two would go have lunch together or even take a flight to Europe side-by-side. At one place it would be the H&R director (directorette?) at the other a female team leader. But they were always young, pretty and charming. And single.

Now - I know who I am, and I'm not the kind of guy girls follow out to the corridor to flirt with, let me tell you that. Did I mentioned that I interviewed for a programmer's position?

So what I figure is that the situation in the market is so bad that these cynical entities called "corporations" don't shy back from making lowly use of their female employees just to make their company look more attractive (pun intended).

So, please, stop it. I mean, it's so degrading.
