:: A drink for 2001 ::

As someone who came back to the Wadi after 5 years of self-inflicted exile – just to see the Nasdaq crash two weeks later – let me tell you something: 2000 was a pretty good year.

So some of us had to find new jobs. Wow! I don’t recall seeing unemployed programmers begging for food (unless, of course, they Moonlight for Amnon Levi). So the salaries’ level dropped. Oh no, help us! How can we pay for our way-over-priced-but-so-very-cool DVD system?

You want to know something? The true story? The Wadi people had a great year. Out there, where the average salary is what we spend every month on CDs\PS2 games\porn site subscriptions, 2000 was much worse.

My previous job was high school teacher. I taught political science (EZRAHOT), Jewish and Israeli history and I was a homeroom teacher of two 11th grade classes.

16 years old student are more annoying then any application server I meet, They have more problem then your average MS operating system and they make much more noise then any one older then 25 can handle.

For this dream work I was paid less then third my current salary.

So lets stop with tears.

Here’s a drink for 2001 – Let it be just as good.
