:: Those Important People
::
Did you ever have the feeling that we Wadi
workers are thinking a bit too much about ourselves? No?
Because I do have that feeling. Take a walk, for
instance, in the streets of Herzliya Pituach. Fancy
restaurants, shiny new cars (although most of them look
the same), nice boys and girls, more-than-reasonable
salaries.
Things are not as they used to be in
Nasdaq (otherwise I would include promising options in
the list above), and some gals and guys even have lost
their jobs. But still, have you tried to talk to a HR
person from M., or to a programmer from C., or to a
project manager from C.? Aren’t they a bit too
arrogant?
Come on guys, I work in the Wadi like you.
Some of us do nice things, but lots of us don’t do
more than a manager of a Pizza place, many times not
more than a worker there. We sit in meetings, we write
documents, we support customers, we even develop
software programs, but most of us don’t create the
hottest gadget of next year, at least we don’t do
it every day.
If you ask me, we are the textile workers
of 2030, only lucky to work when textile is still a hot
industry to work in.
