:: Peer Pressure ::

I have read (or heard) about a survey conducted among high-tech workers in Israel. One of the questions asked there was "What is the reason you work many hours a day?". Not surprisingly, more than 50 percent of the people asked chose "Peer pressure" as the answer.

You know the situation. You're tired, you're thinking about the new episode of your favorite sitcom you're missing this moment. You work at 10% of your normal efficiency. You could finish up whatever takes you 3 hours now in 10 minute tomorrow morning.

But...everyone's here. And I can't just go now.

Peer Pressure.

The only thing that has my wondering is: If more than 50% feel that the main reason they stay in late is peer pressure, shouldn't they be the ones to do the pressuring. They're more than 50%!

Press on, fellow pressees.
