:: goLearn ::

As you all know we recently have tons of opportunities to learn something from Wadi Start-Ups. However, in most cases we learn this by showing an example of what not to do. We rarely have an opportunity to learn from good examples. And now we have one.

goRefer, a Wadi Start-Up funded by Wadi VCs, with headquarters in NYC, has just announced it will be closing its doors. As goRefer was supposed to make money out of referral fees on e-commerce, this is no surprise. What is a surprise is that goRefer still has cash at hand. It is closing down and giving money back.

We can be sure that closing a company is easier than bringing it back to life. However, admitting a failure is harder than ignoring it.

And the lesson is simple - do the hard thing in your mind and the easy move in the real world. Not the other way around. If you have no chance - close down, give whatever money is left back to investors and walk away with pride.

I hereby refer you to goRefer.
