 :: The List :: Sorry ::

The unintended consequences of an intended social action are amazing. All I wanted to do is make people smile when they read The Wadi List.

That was intended.

However, just after the last two mailings regarding D&A list of the 200 largest companies in Israel were published, they dramatically changed the list.

This was unintended.

As it turned out, I shaved $50M of paper value off DealTime, ImageID and TelesciCOM, $40M off Mercado, $20M off SoftWatch and EverAd and a mind-boggling number of $65M off RichFX. The most amazing thing is that $10M were shaved off poor G-Connect, which I have to admit, I never heard of before I browsed the list, and have no idea what is it that they do. I picked them up because the comment near the company name was funny. As a matter of fact - this was the reason I picked most of the others.

So what do we learn from this?

Easy.

We learn that the unintended consequences of an intended social action are amazing.

Don't fart in pubic.
