For the whole year before the wedding I could not imagine getting through the day without sobbing. Several weeks before the big day, I prayed to God and to Wade to give me strength and courage to get through the wedding without crying My heart was happy for what was about to happen, but also I felt sadness because Wade was not there with us to share in this happy occasion. In my prayers I also prayed that I would get a sign that Wade's spirit was present. I know he was there with us and these pictures say it loud and clear to me. I also made it through the entire day with only a few tears. |
After the family candle was lit, you can see a perfect round circle around my right hand. On my middle finger of that hand I wear a ring that was given to me on Wade's birthday one year after he died. Wade was letting me know that he was with Todd and I as we did our part during the ceremony. He was giving me the signs that I had prayed so hard for. |
Wayne took this picture long before the wedding ever started, and long before the candles were lit. If you look at the set of candles on the right, the top center one looks lit. This was the grooms side and this picture made me believe that the light was Wade's spirit. |

Sue, Matt, Todd and I lit the family candles. The boys lit a small candle from the candles and then Sue and I went up a few more steps and lit the family candle. If you look at the wall and curtain on the alter, you can see the spots. They start out on the right and travel across the curtain and are surrounding the candles on the left which is the brides side. This picture made me feel like Wade's energy was moving from the right to the left to be part of the lighting of our family candle. |

This is a picture of Lindsey and Mark saying their vows. Notice the candle on the right once again All during the wedding that candle moved constantly. It was straightened once before the wedding started and two more times during the service. No one could understand why it kept moving because it felt tight in the holder. I believe in my heart once again, Wade was letting his presence be seen and felt. Even on the video tape, Lindsey and Mark make a comment about the candle and how it keeps moving! |
