Nix's IME

About

Nix's IME is a transliteration based Indic input method for Java platform. It is currently available for Hindi (hi_IN) & Sanskrit (sa_IN) locales available under Apache License v2.0. The input method is of great use to users who are developing or using Java applications, and wants to input in Hindi and Sanskrit locales in a transliteration based manner (without learning a new keyboard layout).

Install

Place the NixIM.jar (either from binary or source) in the extensions folder, i.e. [java.home]/jre/lib/ext directory. And you're done. In case you've come across some problem, check out this Frequently Asked Questions (already present in the source code bundle).
