(NTU) in 2005 with a Masters of Engineering (Electrical
& Electronic Engineering) by research (under a research
scholarship awarded by NTU and Sun Microsystem's ASP Centre) as well as in
1999 with a Degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical
& Electronic Engineering) with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) [Major in
Computer Engineering]. Prior to my university days, I graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 1994 with a Diploma
with Merit in Electronic and Computer Engineering.

Professional CertificationsTaking Sun's certification program in Java technology was 1 of the way to demonstrate my knowledge, skills, hands-on practice as well as level of competency with regards to Java technology. In addition, I had the opportunity to participate and "screen" 2 new beta exams (SCMAD and SCDJWS) back in 2004, where all the questions had to be answered within an allocated timeframe. Without any official SCMAD and SCDJWS certification study guide available, I had to read up all the available resources found on the Internet for J2ME as well as Web Services (including the specifications) as well as lots of practice!
