Favorite Buffy Moments

"Welcome to the Hellmouth," Season 1, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Xander: You know, I kind of had a problem with the math.
Willow: Uh, which part?
Xander: The math.

Willow:
Do you have Theories in Trig? You should check it out.
Xander: Check it out?
Willow: From the library. Where the books live.

Xander: Well, uh, maybe I'll see you around. Maybe at school... since we... both... go there.
Buffy: Great! It was nice to meet you.
Xander: We both go to school. Very suave. Very not pathetic.

Giles: Like zombies, werewolves, incubi, succubi, everything you've every dreaded was under your bed, but told yourself couldn't be by the light of day. They're all real!
Buffy: What, you like sent away for the Time-Life series?
Giles: Ah, well, yes.
Buffy: Did you get the free phone?
Giles: Um, the calendar.

Angel: Don't worry. I don't bite.
Buffy: Who are you?
Angel: Let's just say, I'm a friend.
Buffy: Yeah, well, maybe I don't want a friend.
Angel: I didn't say I was yours.

Buffy: Um, I'll be back in a minute.
Willow: Oh, th-that's okay. You don't have to come back.
Buffy: I'll be back in a minute.

Darla: Who the hell are you?
Buffy: You mean there's actually someone in this town who doesn't know already? Whew, that's a relief, I'm telling you! Having a secret identity in this town is a job of work.

Buffy: Angel. It's a pretty name.

Xander: Jess, man. I'm sorry.
Jess: Sorry? I feel good, Xander! I feel strong! I'm connected, man, to everything! I can hear the worms in the earth!
Xander: That's a plus.

"Never Kill a Boy on the First Date," Season1, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Owen: Does anyone have an aspirin? Or sixty?
"Never Kill a Boy on the First Date," Season1, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

"The Pack," Season 1, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Willow: Come on, Angel pushes your buttons. You know he does.
Buffy: I suppose some girls might find him good looking... if they have eyes.
"The Pack," Season 1, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

"Some Assembly Required," Season 2, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Angel: "Danced with" is a pretty loose term. "Mated with" might be a little closer.

Giles: Grave robbing? That's new. Interesting.
Buffy: I know you meant to say gross and disturbing.
Giles: Yes, yes, yes, of course. Uh, terrible thing. Must, must put a stop to it. Damn it.

Cordelia: Okay, I'm doing this under protest. It's not fair that they're making participation in this year's science fair mandatory. I don't think anyone should have to do anything educational in school, if they don't want to.
Willow: "The Tomato: Fruit or Vegetable?"
Cordelia: I wanted to do something I could finish in a weekend, alright?

Cordelia: Hi. Sorry to interrupt your little undead playgroup, but I need to ask Willow if she'll help me with my science fair project.
Willow: It's a fruit.
Cordelia: I would've asked Chris to help me, but then that would've brought back too many memories of Daryl.
Willow: I found it! Meredith Todd died in a car accident last week.
Cordelia: Of course, I've learned to deal with my pain.
Buffy: How was her neck?
Willow: Fine, except for being broken.
Cordelia: Hello! Can we deal with my pain, please?
Giles: There, there.

Cordelia: Darn, I have cheerleader practice tonight. Boy, I wish I know we were gonna be digging up dead people sooner. I would've canceled.
Xander: Alright, but if you come across the army of zombies, can you page us before they eat your flesh?

Cordelia: Why are these terrible things always happening to me?
Xander: Karma.

Cordelia: Xander? I just wanted to thank you for saving my life. What you did in there was really brave and heroic, and I just wanted to tell you if there was anything that I could ever do to...
Xander: Do you mind? We're talking here. So, where were we?
Willow: Wondering why we never get dates.
Xander: Yeah, so why do you think that is?

Buffy: Love makes you do the wacky.
Angel: What?
Buffy: Crazy stuff.
Angel: Oh. Crazy, like a 241-year-old being jealous of a high school junior?
Buffy: Are you fessing up?
Angel: I've thought about it. Maybe it bothers me a little.
Buffy: I don't love Xander.
Angel: Yeah, but he's in your life. He gets to be there when I can't. Take your classes, eat your meals, hear your jokes and complaints. He gets to see you in the sunlight.
Buffy: I don't look that good in direct light.
Angel: It'll be morning soon.
Buffy: I should probably go. I could walk you home.
"Some Assembly Required," Season 2, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

"School Hard," Season 2, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Vampire:
Slayer!
Buffy: Slayee!

Xander: Okay, that's it. I'm putting a collar with a little bell on that guy.

Spike: People still fall for that Anne Rice routine. What a world!

Joyce: You get the hell away from my daughter!
Spike: Women!
"School Hard," Season 2, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

"Surprise,” Season 2, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”"
Angel: What if what?
Buffy: I’m sorry. Were we talking?

Buffy: I like seeing you first thing in the morning.
Angel: It’s bedtime for me.
Buffy: Well, then I like seeing you at bedtime. Um… Um, heh… Y-you know what I mean.
Angel: I think so. What do you mean?
Buffy: I like seeing you. The part at the end of the night where we say goodbye? It’s getting harder.
Angel: Yeah. It is.

Buffy: You think he’s too old because he’s a senior? Please. My boyfriend had a bicentennial.

Oz: I’m gonna ask you to go out with me tomorrow night. And I’m kinda nervous about it actually. It’s interesting.
Willow: Oh. Well, if it helps at all, I’m gonna say yes.

Buffy: I should keep my Slayer cool, but it’s Angel, which automatically equals maxi-wig.

Giles: We’re having a party tonight.
Xander: Looks like Mr. Caution Man, but the sound he makes is funny.

Cordelia: Surprise!
Oz: That pretty much sums it up.

Willow: Are you okay?
Oz: Yeah. Hey, did everybody see that guy just turn to dust?
Willow: Uh, well, uh… sort of.
Xander: Yep. Vampires are real. A lot of them live in Sunnydale. Willow will fill you in.

Angel: My people - before I was changed - they exchanged this as a sign of devotion. It’s a claddagh ring. The hands represent friendship, the crown represents loyalty…. And the heart… well, you know… Wear it with the heart pointing towards you. It means you belong to somebody.

Giles: Seems Buffy needed some rest.
Angel: Yeah. She hasn’t been sleeping well. Tossing and turning… She told me. Because of her dreams?

Angel: I…
Buffy: You what?
Angel: I love you. I try not to, but I can’t stop.
Buffy: Me, too. I can’t either…
Angel: Buffy, maybe we shouldn’t…
Buffy: Don’t. Just kiss me.
"Surprise,” Season 2, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”"

"Innocence,” Season 2, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”"
Buffy: Oh, my God! I was so worried!
Angelus: I didn’t mean to frighten you.
Buffy: Where did you go?
Angelus: Been around.
Buffy: I was freaking out! You just disappeared.
Angelus: What? I took off.
Buffy: But you didn’t say anything. You just left.
Angelus: Yeah. Like I really wanted to stick around after that.
Buffy: What?
Angelus: You got a lot to learn about men, kiddo. Although I guess you proved that last night.
Buffy: What are you saying?
Angelus: Let’s not make an issue out of it, okay? In fact, let’s not talk about it at all.
Buffy: I don’t understand. Was it m-me? Was I not good?
Angelus: You were great. Really. I thought you were a pro.
Buffy: How can you say this to me?
Angelus: Lighten up. It was a good time. It doesn’t mean like we have to make a big deal.
Buffy: It is a big deal!
Angelus: It’s what? Bells ringing? Fireworks? A dulcet choir of pretty little birdies? Come on, Buffy. It’s not like I’ve never been there before.
Buffy: Don’t touch me.
Angelus: I should’ve known you wouldn’t be able to handle it.
Buffy: Angel! I love you.
Angelus: Love you, too. I’ll call you.

Xander: Don’t do that!
Angelus: Oh, I think I do that.
Willow: Angel…
Jenny: He’s not Angel anymore. Are you?
Angelus: Wrong. I am Angel. At last.
Xander: My God.
Angelus: I got a message for Buffy.
Buffy: Why don’t you give it to me yourself?
Angelus: Well, it’s not really the kind of message you tell. It sort of involves finding the bodies of all your friends.
Buffy: This can’t be you.
Angelus: Gee, didn’t we already cover that subject? Your boyfriend is dead. You’re all gonna join him.
Buffy: Leave Willow alone and deal with me.
Angelus: But she’s so cute and helpless. Really a turn-on… Things are about to get very interesting.

Willow: Giles, you wouldn’t have believed him. He was so… He came here to kill us.
Cordelia: What are we gonna do?
Giles: I’m leaning towards blind panic myself.

Red velvet.

Oz: So, do you guys steal weapons from the Army a lot?
Willow: Well, we don’t have cable, so we have to make our own fun.
Oz: I get you.
Willow: Do you wanna make out with me?
Oz: What?
Willow: Forget it. I’m sorry. Well, do you?
Oz: Sometimes when I’m sitting in class… you know, I’m not thinking about class, ‘cause that would never happen… I think about kissing you. And it’s like everything stops. It’s like, it’s like freeze frame. Willow kissage… Oh, I’m not gonna kiss you.
Willow: What? But freeze frame?
Oz: Well, to the casual observer, it would appear that you’re trying to make your friend Xander jealous or even the score or something. And that’s on the empty side. See, in my fantasy when I’m kissing you, you’re kissing me. It’s okay. I can wait.

Judge: What’s that do?

Angelus: You know what the worst part was, huh? Pretending that I loved you. If I’d known how easily you’d give it up, I wouldn’t have even bothered.
Buffy: That doesn’t work anymore. You’re not Angel.
Angelus: You’d like to think that, wouldn’t you? It doesn’t matter. The important thing is you made me the man I am today!

Oz: Uh… arm.

Angelus: You can’t do it. You can’t kill me.
Buffy: Give me time.

Buffy: You must be so disappointed in me.
Giles: No. No, I’m not.
Buffy: But this is all my fault.
Giles: No, I don’t believe it is. Do you want me to wag my finger at you and tell you that you acted rashly? You did. And I can. I know that you loved him. And he has proven more than once that he loved you. You couldn’t have known what would happen. The coming months are going to be hard, I suspect, on all of us, but if it’s guilt you’re looking for, Buffy, I’m not your man. All you will get from me is my support. And my respect.

Joyce: So, what’d you do for your birthday. Did you have fun?
Buffy: I got older.

Joyce: Well, go on. Make a wish.
Buffy: I’ll just let it burn
"Innocence,” Season 2, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”"

"Passion," Season 2, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Angelus: Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping... waiting... and though unwanted... unbidden... it will stir... open its jaws, and howl. It speaks to us... guides us... Passion rules us all. And we obey. What other choice do we have? It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered, and dank. Without passion, we'd be truly dead.

Jenny: So, how's Buffy doing?
Giles: How do you think?
Jenny: I know you feel betrayed.
Giles: Yes. Well, that's one of the unpleasant side effects of betrayal.

Xander: Hey, how come Buffy doesn't get a snotty "once again, you boil it down to the simplest form" thing? Watcher's pet.

Buffy: It's so weird. Every time something like this happens, my first instinct is still to run to Angel. I can't believe it's the same person. He's completely different from the guy I knew.
Willow: Well, sort of, except...
Buffy: Except what?
Willow: You're still the only thing he thinks about.

Spike: I won't have you feeding me like a child, Dru.
Angelus: Why not? She already bathes you, carries you around, and changes you like a child.
Drusilla: Why, Angel. Where have you been? The sun is almost up, and it can be so hurtful. We were worried.
Spike: No, we weren't.
Drusilla: You must forgive Spike. He's just a bit testy tonight. Doesn't get out much anymore.
Angelus: Well, maybe next time I'll bring you with me, Spike. Might be handy to have you around if I ever need a really good parking space.
Spike: Have you forgotten that you're a bloody guest in my bloody home?
Angelus: And as a guest, if there's anything I can do for you... Any responsibility I can assume while you're spinning your wheels... Anything I'm not already doing, that is.

Joyce: Was he the first? No, wait. I don't wanna know. I don't think I want to.
Buffy: He was the first. I mean, the only.
Joyce: He's older than you.
Buffy: I know.
Joyce: Too old, Buffy. And he's obviously not very stable. I really wish... I just thought you would show more judgment.
Buffy: He wasn't like this before.
Joyce: Are you in love with him?
Buffy: I was.

Spike: Are you insane?! We're supposed to kill the bitch, not leave gag gifts in the friends' beds. If you ask me, I find myself preferring the old Buffy-whipped Angelus. This new, improved one is not playing with a full sack. I love a good slaughter as much as the next bloke, but his little pranks will only leave us with one incredibly brassed-off slayer!
Angelus: Don't worry, roller boy. I've got everything under control.
"Passion," Season 2, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

"I only have eyes for you," Season 2, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
James:
No! A person doesn't just wake up one day and stop loving somebody. Love is forever.

Drusilla: Look. Jasmine.
Angelus: Night blooming.
Drusilla: Like us. Oh, Angel, it's fairyland.
Spike: It's paradise. Big windows, lovely gardens. It'll be perfect when we want the sunlight to kill us.
Angelus: If you don't like it, Spike, hit the stairs and go. Take a stand, man.
Spike: Well, our old place was just fine 'til you went and had it burned down.
Angelus: Things change, Spikey. You gotta roll with the punches. Well, actually, you pretty much got that part down, haven't you?
Spike: Very funny, mate.
Angelus: What can I say? I just love to see you smile, buddy.

Giles: Yes, well, I, uh, appreciate your thoughts on the matter. I, in fact, I... well, I encourage you to always challenge me, when you feel it's appropriate. You should never be cowed by authority. Except, of course, in this instance, when I am clearly right and you are clearly wrong.

Xander: Nuke the school? I like that.
Willow: Not quite. Exorcism.
Cordelia: Are you crazy? I saw that movie! Even the priest died.

Giles: To forgive is an act of compassion, Buffy. It's not done because people deserve it. It's done because they need it.

Spike: You might want to let up. They say when you've drawn blood, you've exfoliated.
Angelus: What do you know about it? I'm the one who was friggin' violated! You didn't have this thing in you.
Drusilla: What was it? A demon?
Angelus: Love!
Drusilla: Poor Angel.
"I only have eyes for you," Season 2, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

"Becoming: Part I," Season 2, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Whistler: There's moments in your life that make you, that set the course of who you're gonna be. Sometimes they're little, subtle moments. Sometimes they're not.

Buffy: Look on the bright side. It'll all be over soon.
Angelus: Yes, my love. It will.

Snyder: These public displays of affections are not acceptable in school. This isn't an orgy, people. It's a classroom.
Buffy: Yeah! Where they teach lunch.
Snyder: Just give me a reason to kick you out, Summers. Just give me a reason.
Cordelia: How about because you're a tiny, impotent Nazi, with a bug up his butt the size of an emu?
Buffy: Sums it up.
Cordelia: Don't you think?

Angelus: Yes! You're a spawn of Satan. All the Hail Marys in the world aren't going to help. The Lord will use you and smite you down. He's like that.

Spike: It's a big rock. I can't wait to tell my friends. They don't have a rock this big.

Angel: I wanna know who you are.
Whistler: And I wanna know who you are.
Angel: You already do.
Whistler: Not yet. But I'm looking to find out.

Watcher: There isn't much time. You must come with me. Your destiny awaits.
Buffy: I don't have a destiny. I'm destiny-free. Really.

Whistler: She's gonna have it tough, that Slayer. She's just a kid. The world's full of big, bad things.
Angel: I wanna help her. I want... I wanna become someone.
Whistler: God, jeez, look at you. She must be prettier than the last Slayer.

Angelus: Hello, lover. I wasn't sure you'd come.
Buffy: After your immolation-o-gram? Come on, I had to show. Shouldn't you be out destroying the world right now, pulling the sword out of Al Franken or whatever his name is?
Angelus: There's time enough. I wanted to say goodbye first. You are the one thing in this dimension I will miss.
Buffy: This is a beautiful moment we're having. Can we please fight?
Angelus: I didn't come here to fight.
Buffy: No?
Angelus: Gosh, I was hoping we could get back together. What do you think? Do we have a shot? Alright. We'll fight.

Angelus: You never learn, do you? This wasn't about you. This was never about you. And you fall for it every single time!

Whistler: Bottom line is, even if you see them coming, you're not ready for the big moments. No one asks for their life to change. Not really. But it does. So what are we? Helpless? Puppets? No. The big moments are gonna come. You can't help that. It's what you do afterwards that counts. That's when you find out who you are.
"Becoming: Part I," Season 2, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

"Becoming: Part II," Season 2, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Giles: What do you want?
Angelus: I wanna torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured somebody, they didn't even have chainsaws.

Buffy: I have had a really bad day, okay? If you have information worth hearing, then I am grateful for it. If you're gonna crack jokes, then I'm gonna pull out your ribcage and wear it as a hat.
Whistler: Hello to the imagery! Very nice.

Spike: We like to talk big, vampires do. "I'm going to destroy the world." That's just tough guy talk. Strutting around with your friends over a pint of blood. The truth is, I like this world. You've got... dog racing... Manchester United...and you've got people. Millions of people walking around like Happy Meals with legs.

Oz: Hey, baby.
Willow: Hi.
Oz: How you feeling?
Willow: My head... feels big. Is it big?
Oz: No. It's head size.

Spike: What, your mum doesn't know?
Joyce: Know what?
Buffy: That I'm, uh... in a band. A rock band with Spike here.
Spike: R-Right. She plays the... triangle.
Buffy: Drums.
Spike: Drums, yeah. She's, uh, hell on the old skins, you know.
Joyce: Hmm. And, uh, what do you do?
Spike: Well, I sing.

Buffy: No, it doesn't stop! It never stops! Do you think I chose to be like this? Do you have any idea how lonely it is? How dangerous? I would love to be upstairs watching TV or gossiping about boys or... God, even studying! But I have to save the world. Again.

Giles: Pillock!
Angelus: All right. Someone get the chainsaw.
Spike: Now, now, don't let's lose our temper.
Angelus: Keep out of it, sit-n-spin.

Xander: Giles!
Giles: Xander?
Xander: Can you walk?
Giles: You're not real.
Xander: Sure, I'm real.
Giles: It's a trick. They get inside my head, make me see things I want.
Xander: Then, why would they make you see me?
Giles: You're right. Let's go.

Angelus: Now, that's everything, huh? No weapons... no friends... no hope. Take that all away and what's left?
Buffy: Me.

Buffy: Close your eyes.
"Becoming: Part II," Season 2, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

"Lover's Walk," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Spike:
She wouldn't even kill me. She just left. She didn't even care enough to cut off my head or set me on fire. I mean, is that too much to ask? You know, some little sign that she cared?

Spike: You're not friends. You'll never be friends. You'll be in love 'til it kills you both. You'll fight, and you'll shag, and you'll hate each other 'til it makes you quiver, but you'll never be friends. Love isn't brains, children. It's blood, blood screaming inside you to work its will.

Spike: I may be love's bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it.

Spike: I've been all wrongheaded about this. Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else. I want Dru back, I've just got to be the man I was, the man she loved. I'm gonna do what I should've done in the first place. I'll find her, wherever she is, tie her up, torture her until she likes me again.
"Lover's Walk," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

"The Wish," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Willow: I wanna be strong Willow. But then I think I may never get to be close to Oz again, and it's like all the air just goes out of the room.
Buffy: I know the feeling.
"The Wish," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

Favorite episode: "Amends," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Angel: I bet half the kids down there are already awake... lying in their beds... sneaking downstairs... waiting for day.
Buffy: Angel, please, I need for you to get inside. There's only a few minutes left.
Angel: I know. I can smell the sunrise long before it comes.
Buffy: I don't have time to explain this. You just have to trust me. That thing that was haunting you...
Angel: It wasn't haunting me. It was showing me.
Buffy: S-Showing you?
Angel: What I am.
Buffy: Were.
Angel: And ever shall be. I wanted to know why I was back. Now, I do.
Buffy: You don't know. Some great evil takes credit for bringing you back, and you buy it? You just give up?
Angel: I can't do it again, Buffy. I can't become a killer.
Buffy: Then, fight it.
Angel: It's too hard. Uh-uh.
Buffy: Angel, please, you have to get inside!
Angel: It told me to kill you. You were in the dream. You know. It told me to lose my soul in you and become a monster again.
Buffy: I know what it told you. What does it matter?
Angel: Because I wanted to! Because I want you so badly. I want to take comfort in you, and I know it'll cost me my soul, and a part of me doesn't care... Look, I'm weak. I've never been anything else. It's not the demon in me that needs killing, Buffy. It's the man.
Buffy: You're weak. Everybody is. Everybody fails. Maybe this evil did bring you back, but if it did, it's because it needs you. And that means that you can hurt it... Angel, you have the power to do real good. To make amends. But if you die now, then all that you ever were was a monster... Angel, please, the sun is coming up!
Angel: Just go.
Buffy: I won't.
Angel: What, do you think this is simple? You think there's an easy answer? You can never understand what I've done. Now go.
Buffy: You are not staying here! I won't let you!
Angel: I said leave! Oh, my God...
Buffy: No! No!
Angel: Am I a thing worth saying, huh? Am I a righteous man? The world wants me gone.
Buffy: What about me? I love you so much... And I tried to make you go away... I killed you and it didn't help... And I hate it! I hate that it's so hard... and that you can hurt me so much... I know everything that you did, because you did it to me. God, I wish that I wished you dead... I don't... I can't.
Angel: Buffy, please. Just this once... let me be strong.
Buffy: Strong is fighting! It's hard, and it's painful, and it's every day. It's what we have to do. And we can do it together. But if you're too much of a coward for that, then burn. If I can't convince you that you belong in this world, then I don't know what can. But do not expect me to watch. And don't expect me to mourn for you, because...
"Amends," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

"Gingerbread," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Xander: What's with the grim? We're here to join you guys. No, really, why should you guys have all the fun? We wanna be part of the hate.
Oz: Just so we're clear, you guys know you're nuts, right?

Buffy: Did I get it? Did I get it?

Oz: We're here to save you.
"Gingerbread," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

"Helpless," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Buffy: Gotcha!
Angel: Right in the heart.
Buffy: Satisfied?
Angel: I'm not sure that's the word.

Buffy: If someone were free, they'd take their daughters or their student...or their Slayer.

Angel: I watched you, and I saw you called. It was a bright afternoon out in front of your school. You walked down the steps...and I loved you.
Buffy: Why?
Angel: Because I could see your heart. You held it before you for everyone to see. And I worried that it would be bruised or torn. And more than anything in my life I wanted to keep it safe... to warm it with my own.
Buffy: That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.
Angel: I was just thinking that, too.

Buffy: You bastard. All this time, you saw what it was doing to me. All this time, and you didn't say a word!
Giles: I wanted to.
Buffy: Liar. I can't hear this.
Giles: Buffy, please.
Buffy: Who are you? How could you do this to me?

Quentin: Your affection for your charge has rendered you incapable of clear and impartial judgment. You have a father's love for the child.
"Helpless," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

"Zeppo," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Xander: If anyone sees my spine laying around, just try not to step on it.
Buffy: Xander, one of these days, you're gonna get yourself hurt.
Faith: Or killed.
Buffy: Or both. And, you know, with the pain and the death, maybe you shouldn't be leaping into the fray like that. Maybe you should be... fray-adjacent.
Xander: Excuse me? Who, at a crucial moment, distracted the lead demon by allowing her to pummel him about the head?
Faith: Yeah. That was real manly how you shrieked and all.
Xander: I think you'll find that was more of a bellow.
"Zeppo," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

"Consequences," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Angel: I know what it's like to take a life. To feel a future, a world of possibilities snuffed out by your own hand. Faith, you have a choice. You've tasted something few ever do. I mean, to kill without remorse is to feel like a god. But you're not a god. You're not much more than a child. You and me, Faith, we're a lot of alike. Time was, I thought humans existed just to hurt each other. But then I came here. And I found out that there are other types of people, people who genuinely wanted to do right. And they make mistakes. And they fall down, you know, but they keep caring. Keep trying.

Faith: I've seen it, B. You've got the lust. And I'm not just talking about screwing vampires.
Buffy: Don't you dare bring him into this.
Faith: It was good, wasn't it? The sex? The danger? Bet a part of you even dug him when he went psycho.
"Consequences," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

"Doppelgangland," Season 3, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Evil Willow: Bored now.

Xander: This isn't real.
Buffy: I can't feel anything. Arms, legs, anything.
Giles: She was truly the finest of all of us.
Xander: Way better than me.
Giles: Much, much better.

Willow: It's really nice that you guys missed me. Say, you all didn't happen to do a bunch of drugs, did ya?
Xander: Will, we saw you at the Bronze. A vampire.
Willow: I'm not a vampire.
Buffy: You are. I mean, you were. Giles, planning on jumping in here with an explanation anytime soon?
Giles: Well, uh, something... something, um, very strange is happening.
Xander: Can you believe the Watcher's Council let this guy go?

Angel: Buffy, I... I just... Something's happened that... Willow's dead... Hey, Willow... Wait a second.

Willow: It's horrible! That's me as a vampire? I'm so evil and... skanky. And I think I'm kinda gay.
Buffy: Willow, just remember, a vampire's personality has nothing to do with the person it was.
Angel: Well, actually... That's a good point.

Willow: I'm a blood-sucking fiend! Look at my outfit!

Willow: Ow! Ow! Ow! Happy, but ow!

The apple.

Buffy: And how did you get him, Faith? Magic? Cast some sort of spell? 'Cause in the real world, Angel would never touch you and we both know it. You had to tie me up to beat me. There's a word for people like you, Faith. Loser.

Angel: Second best.

Angel: You still my girl?
Buffy: Always.

"I will remember you," Season 1, "Angel"
Angel: I was in the neighborhood. Skulking.

Cordy: She killed him! Oops. My bad. It's just dust I forgot to sweep under the rug.

Cordy: What's wrong? What happened? Did you do it with Buffy? Watch it, Doyle, don't get too close. Hey. You walked in the front door... from the street! You got...
Angel: Yeah.
Cordy: An umbrella!

Angel: Oh my God. Food. This is unbelievable... This is so... You know, I forgot how good it all tastes when you're alive! Mmm, chocolate. Oh, chocolate!
Doyle: All right, all right, we need to focus here. We need to try and find out...
Angel: I love chocolate! Ugh, but not, as it turns out, yogurt. Ugh!

Doyle: You can pretty much do whatever you want now. The question is: What do you want?

Cordy: Let me explain the lore here, okay? They suffer, they fight. That's business as usual. They get groiny with each other, the world as we know it falls apart.

Cordy: Oh, please! They've got the forbidden love of all time. They have been apart for months. Now, he's suddenly human? I'm sure they're down there just having tea and crackers.

Buffy: Okay, I'd better...
Angel: Right. Remove the temptation.

The kitchen table.

The ice-cream.

Buffy: Oh, I'm so sleepy... but I still want...
Angel: What? You couldn't possibly... Not that I wouldn't...

Doyle: Don't you want to wake the girl?
Angel: Not for the world.

Angel: Buffy, are you all...
Buffy: Shh, you're alright. That's all that matters. Shh, you're alright. And it's over. And we're together.

Woman: You are wrong. This one is willing to sacrifice every drop of human happiness and love he has ever known for another. He is not a lower being.

Angel: I couldn't tell you. I wasn't sure... if I could do it, if I woke up with you one more morning.

Buffy: I felt your heart beat.

Buffy: I'll never forget.

"The Gift," Season 5, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Kid: How'd you do that?
Buffy: It's what I do.
Kid: But you're... you're just a girl.
Buffy: That's what I keep saying.

Buffy: I sacrificed Angel to save the world. I loved him so much. But I knew... what was right. I don't have that anymore. I don't understand. I don't know how to live in this world, if these are the choices. If everything just gets stripped away. I don't see the point.

Spike: I know you'll never love me. I know that I'm a monster. But you treat me like a man. And that's... Get your stuff. I'll be here.

Spike: Well, not exactly the St. Crispin's Day speech, was it?
Giles: We few... we happy few...
Spike: We band of buggered.

Spike: You don't come near the girl, Doc.
Doc: I don't smell a soul anywhere on you. Why do you even care?
Spike: I made a promise to a lady.
Doc: Oh? Then, I'll send the lady your regrets.

Giles: Can you move?
Ben: Need a... minute. She could've killed me.
Giles: No, she couldn't. Never. And sooner or later, Glory will re-emerge, and make Buffy pay for that mercy. And the world with her. Buffy even knows that... and still she couldn't take a human life. She's a hero, you know. She's not like us.
Ben: Us?

Buffy: The hardest thing in this world is to live in it.
