TOFFLER

THEORY: -

The world today is changing rapidly; not all changes are bad, Therefore, flexibility is needed to face these changes. "Questing for Knowledge" is necessary because the more knowledge we understand, the better life is.

Basic Components of Theory: -

* First, second, and third wave:
        All of the three waves depend on energy for their survival. As the society moves from one wave to the next, people experience a stressful period.

 * Future Shock:
         We can not accurately Predict the future; not knowing is a stressful feeling.  Life is not a linear line, some points in our life do breakdown and produce other outcomes or reverse back

Impact on Adolescence Development: -

* Stress resulting from worrying too much about the future.

* Loneliness because the community starts to shrink. Teenagers need attention, so they go to using drugs, committing crimes which will prevent them  from thinking and worrying about the future, and perhaps give them attention so the community will be aware that they exist.

Positive Effects of Divorce: -

Divorce is a change in the family structure; according to Toffler not all changes are bad. So if the divorce in this case was handled correctly, the individual family life will be full of happiness and peace.

Negative Effects of Divorce: -

If the change of the family structure is viewed as unacceptable, or bad for the society, the outcome of the divorce will be unhappy and stressful during the marriage and after the divorce for the child.

How to Create Positive Outcome: -

* Accept the changes.

* Have a better understanding of today's problems; and stop worrying too much about the future.

* Build the value of "Community," and the social life to prevent loneliness so people won't turn to other things such as; drugs to make them forget about their worries, they should be able to find a person to talk with and exchange ideas.
