A Bundy kinda place
My little piece of the world. and my travels to other little pieces of the world!
Clearing out the cupboards
photo
Well, the job of clearing out some of mum's old things.. and things I didn't want to part with when she went into a nursing home some years ago is now well underway.

Had antique dealer come yesterday and buy up old crockery etc.  He also bought some verandah furniture which was made by my grand-father many decades ago.. (I remember a 'squatter's chair' from when I was a kid).  Also going was a timber rocking horse my grandfather made for me when I was a toddler.

Next job is under the house.. old tools, paint cans and the like.. that's next month.  Have to organise my brother and his trailer (for stuff the antique dealer might buy) and hire a skip.. for the real junk.

Your brother lives in a trailer? What's a skip? Inquiring minds and all that - congratulations on being able to let go of stuff - I find that it's very freeing to be able to simplify a bit - and from the pic there was clearly plenty of stuff to let go of....

Never an easy task, especially when it brings up pleasent memories. Hard to decide what to keep and what to let go. Cheers.

No my brother doesn't live in a trailer.. he has a trailer which he tows behind his car. And a skip is a large industrial bin which is dropped off and then a week later picked up. They often use them on building sites.
