Winter's almost here
Tomorrow is the start of winter.  In Australia the season's start on the 1st of every 3rd month.. hence June 1 is the start of winter.

But we've already had a taste of the chilly weather.  It got down to 1C .. 34F at my place.  But the days are still warm with 23C (74F) during the day.

But the coldest spot in the state of Queensland today was -7C (19) at Stanthorpe -- a grape and wine area.  I might visit during winter and stay somewhere with a fire place.  It's just 3 hours drive from Brisbane.  The Stanthorpe tourism industry promotes winter as Brass Monkey Season.

Goodness - 70s during the day - I'd take that sort of winter anytime :).And I do appreciate the temp conversion for us celsius challenge types. Speaking of celsius - if Carol doesn't know you have a blog here - you ought to find and invite her - she posts to mine once in a while.
