World Cup
There were lots of Australians who either didn't go to work today.. or were late.

Football's World Cup has grabbed our attention.. and today was crunch day for our Socceroos.

Up against Croatia.. Australia needed a draw to advance to the round of 16.  Funny thing about this game  was several Australians are of Croatian heritage and our captain has a holiday home in Dubrovnic.  And several of the Croatian team were born in Australia.

The game started at 5am Eastern Australian time.. and finished just before 7.  Many got up early. I'd already been at work for 90 minutes when the game started.

The final score was 2-2.  But that was enough to put Australia through.  Next up, Italy!

Go Socceroos...    Aussie Aussie Aussie.. Oi Oi Oi.

It's an Aussie sporting chant.. someone yells Aussie, Aussie, Aussie.. everyone replies Oi, Oi, Oi.
Normally it goes:

LOL - its no better or worse than some of our chants I think. Congrats to your team for advancing - Oi Oi Oi.....and have a good time at the Kidman/Urban wedding. I assume you're invited because of course all you Aussies know each other ;).
