Verses of August
Week of 8/28/2000 to 9/3/2000
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can
be against us? Indeed, He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered
Him up for us all, how shall He not also with Him freely give us all
things?(Romans 8:31-32)
I started school this week, and because I was new to the school, I got
lost many times and forgot a lot of things. Normally, I would have been
very distressed about all that had happened, but somehow even through
everything I still feel at peace inside. Praise the Lord for being
with me all through the week. If the Lord is with us, who indeed can be
against us?
Week of 8/21/2000 to 8/27/2000
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation
or anguish or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword? As
it is written, "For Your sake we are put to death all day long, we have
been accounted as sheep for slaughter." But in all these things we more
than conquer through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither
death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor things present nor
things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other creature
will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ
Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:35-39)
This verse touched me this week because school is starting right next
week for me, and I feel very scared. I am afraid that all the school
things I will have to do would take me away from the Lord. Seeing this
verse just really helped me realize that nothing, nothing, shall
be able to take me away from the love of the Lord, and I am reassure by
that.
