Verses of February

Week of 2/24/2002 to 3/2/2002

And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:9a)

I have been extremely busy for the past two weeks, even being pushed almost to my limit. Sometimes I am so tired I can't keep my eyes open. But I can still go on through all the hustle and bustle and worries because the Lord's grace is sufficient. He always gives me enough grace to go on. And I am glad that in my weakness I am growing in Him, being perfected.

Week of 2/17/2002 to 2/23/2002

And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissoluteness, but be filled in spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and psalming with your heart to the Lord, giving thanks at all times for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to our God and Father, being subject to one another in the fear of Christ. (Ephesians 5:18-21)

What a wonderful picture is this! People singing with each other and loving God together and being in unity--this is what I dreamed of having, and it is real! I am really happy with the fellow believers in the church, because we are one family in God and we can be at ease with each other and love God. This is the real Christian life, and I long to experience it more with the other believers, because this is what the Lord is after in every church--people loving Him and praising Him together!

Week of 2/10/2002 to 2/16/2002

We know that we have passed out of death into life because we love the brothers...In this we know love, that He laid down His life on our behalf, and we ought to lay down our lives on behalf of the brothers...Little children, let us not love in word nor in tongue but in deed and truthfulness. (1 John 3:4a; 16; 18)

We really need to love with the love of the Lord, especially the brothers and sisters, because if we don't love the brothers and sisters, how can we love anyone else? We the believers are one Body in Christ, so we should all be one and love each other. It's hard sometimes. I've tried, but I know from experience that if we trust in the Lord, He can take care of all things. Loving the brothers and sisters is important, and I believe that the Lord will lead us to be built up with each other in love, day by day. Praise the Lord!

Week of 2/3/2002 to 2/9/2002

Love suffers long. Love is kind; it is not jealous. Love does not brag and is not puffed up...It covers all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (1 Corinthians 13:4;7)
Be diligent to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the uniting bond of peace: One Body and one Spirit, even as you were called in one hope of your calling; (Ephesians 4:3-4)
And holding to truth in love, we may grow up into Him in all things, who is the Head, Christ, out from whom all the Body, being joined together and being knit together through every joint of the rich supply and through the operation of the measure of each one part, causes the growth of the Body unto the building up of itself in love. (Ephesians 4:15-16)

God is love, and in Him we can love. The love described here is not regular human love, but the love of God. Only when we are one with God can we love with the love of God. With that love we can love our brothers, and not be divided, as many are today. We cannot be divided, because there is one Christ and one Body. We are the Body of Christ! I just pray that all the believers can come together, being built up into one Body to express God, because the Lord loves us all!

Week of 1/27/2002 to 2/2/2002

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. (1 Corinthians 1:24)

I know of and had experienced instances where I am looked down upon because I believe in God and love Him. Yet even though we are sometimes looked down upon as fools and weak ones, we have God, and He is stronger than all, and gives us salvation. He in reality is wiser and stronger than any person or situation, as I have learned time and time again when I can't struggle anymore and just turn to him. Even in the little things, like losing a book, the Lord can lead me through and show me He is real by relieving my fear and bringing it back to me. When others ridicule, though it hurts, I know that God is real, because I have experienced His grace. The Lord is wise and good, no matter what others say.
