I am all moved in to my new house now, and I just thank the Lord for the prayers
of the saints and that the move was successful.
I chose these verses because many times I think I have done something wrong
(and probably have), but that is nothing, because we are all freed in Christ
Jesus from condemnation and guilt. Although it is not good to do something
wrong, I am glad that we are under the law of the Spirit of life and can
just take His blood to cleanse us from our sins, and can take His life to
go on and enjoy Him.
I'm going to be moving again this Saturday; not far, just to a house that's close to where I'm living now. Yet it's far away enough that I won't be taking the same bus route. My bus driver is a Christian brother, and he loves the Lord very much--with his whole being. He went through so many things in his life, and the Lord really carried him out of his bad situation so that he would turn to Him. Now he runs after the Lord, and I can see that he is living according to what Paul said in this verse. It's no longer he that lives, but it is Christ who lives in him. It is no wonder that this is his favorite verse. He exhorted me today, before I left, to cling to the fringe of the Lord's garment and continue being the salt and light of the world, and to never be ashamed of the gospel. I've had good fellowship with this dear brother, and I hope to live this verse as truely as he has, by the grace of the Lord.
I'm so glad the Lord is the same always. He is always dependable without change. It doesn't matter whether my day is good or bad, He always takes care of us and loves us. Praise the Lord!
Yesterday, my biology teacher discussed with some of my classmates and I the real miracle of life. It is really amazing how everything could be just so, so perfectly synchronized and worked out so that everything works exactly right. All the proteins are made in a special way, and even things that can't think work to produce things that can think. A strip of DNA consisting of only four different bases can code for an entire organism and all its complexities! No work of man, no computer or machine can even come close to the things that the Lord made! I share my feelings with David, who wrote this Psalm. Lord, when I consider the work of Your fingers, I can only declare, "O Jehovah our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth!"
We all need love to go on. Like the verse says, "it covers all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." God is also love. I am so glad that the Lord loves us and supplies us to love others. Indeed, if I don't have my loving parents and brothers and sisters in the Lord, even if I have the best grades or most successful job, I would not be happy, because love is from God and "he who abides in love abides in God..." I thank the Lord for His love!
