We all need love to go on. Like the verse says, "it covers all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." God is also love. I am so glad that the Lord loves us and supplies us to love others. Indeed, if I don't have my loving parents and brothers and sisters in the Lord, even if I have the best grades or most successful job, I would not be happy, because love is from God and "he who abides in love abides in God..." I thank the Lord for His love!
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
I just rejoice that the Lord is so dependable, so wonderful, because in all things He is with us and passes through all things with us. Though times are hard sometimes, he always brings us through and gives us hope!
Unless Jehovah builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless Jehovah keeps the city, the guard watches in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to lie down late, to eat the bread of toil; all the same, He gives to His beloved while they sleep. (Psalms 127:1-2)
I needed to be reminded of the things stated in these verses yesterday. It was probably the busiest day I've had since the school year started. I was still vigorously working at 11:30 pm, and I still had one thing I had to do and about ten extra things that I had planned to do. If I did them, I probably would not have slept very much last night and would not have been very awake for my presentation at 8:30 this morning. However, last night, I remembered reading these verses, and so I decided to trust in the Lord and just go to sleep (and put off the extra things) for once. I can testify that the Lord strengthened me in my presentation to the class today. Although I did prepare, I had wanted to do many more things, but the Lord helped me see that it won't help to make myself more tired, but just to trust in Him. All things are His, and we just need to have faith in Him.
For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling...What shall I return to the Lord for all His benefits toward me? I will take the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord. (Psalms 116:8, 12-13)
Bad days come and bad days go. Sometimes many things just pile up on top of each other and I feel terrible, like the world is going to end. Yet the Lord always gives me strength to somehow go on. For me, It's the most wonderful thing to hope in Him and call on Him in such times. Tomorrow will come, and issues will come to an end, but even today the Lord has delivered my eyes from tears.
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. (Philipians 4:4)
Many times I just feel so tired and out of it, especially recently. I have fallen asleep a few times after I come home from school because I was so tired. As a result, I don't feel very focused, either. Although sometimes I am fine, other times, as I have elaborated, I am not. However, this verse says to "Rejoice in the Lord always," so it doesn't matter whether I am tired or not, happy or not, I just need to rejoice in him all the time. I can't possibly do that by myself, but He will give me the joy to go on.
