2005 PSE&G CHAPTER OFFICERS & BOARD MEMBERS Bound by the By-Laws from the National Charter, each Chapters Board Members are elected by the General Membership & committed to running the organization as duly stated. Board members are elected for 2 year terms unless filling a position by someone who has vacated that seat. Then that new Board Member fulfills the existing term of the prior Member. A Chapter needs to have a minimum # of Board Members to run the organization. Officers of the Board hold official titles, & the remaining Members are Board Members with rights to vote & help effect policy change. The Board is responsible for setting the tone of the organization. They do this by being dedicated to holding monthly or quarterly meetings as required, keeping the minutes of said meetings up to date, staying in compliance of National By-Laws, & serving the membership in a manner befitting their elected status. Being on the Board of any organization is a big responsibility & should never be taken lightly. If you are elected to serve, do your civic duty & serve to the best of your ability. The reward of seeing the finished results from a terms worth of effort is definitely uplifting & totally fulfilling.
