The late Don Ulrich's breeding program was focused on breeding Appaloosa to Appaloosa, with an emphasis on producing leopards who possessed the athletic ability and conformation necessary to perform daily ranch work. Although Ollicutt carries some of the bloodlines that founded the Quarter Horse breed as well as the Appaloosa, including Peter McCue and Red Dog, there are no Quarter Horses within his last three generations, and only three in his fourth generation--a generation which also boasts an equal number of true foundation horses. He bears the ApHC's FPD at 80%. 

Ollicutt has substantial bone and size and naturally balanced movement to accompany his strong color breeding. Although he is unshown since he was a weanling, he was then judged Grand Champion Stallion in Washington. He has the talent and aptitude for disciplines as varied as reining and dressage. Once he is working under saddle, he will be competing initially in halter and Western performance classes, and later moving on to English and reining.
