"And then, the doctor said, 'I'm just a monkey!'". That's Scott, I just met him yesterday. God, he's so incredible, he's funny, he's nice and he already knows Shawn and he doesn't hate him. I think I'm falling for him. And, the most important thing of all, he's not in love with anyone, for now.

"Hehehehe, that's very funny!" I replied with my most adorable smile. But, I wonder if all this is...right. Is it? I mean, I recently broke up with someone I really loved and now...Oh stop it Maria! You just met a very nice and *free* guy, so stop being so ridiculous and invite him for dinner. "I-I was wondering if...umm...do you want to come home tonight for dinner?". Oh please, say yes!

He smiled and remained silent for a moment, then, "...Yeah, it would be really nice." Yes! He said yes, yippie yeah! "But," but? but? but what? He started to smile then he continued with a little laugh, "I hope your mother won't think I'm going to marry you." Hahahaha, he's wonderful!

"I'm sure it's going to be a nice and sympathic dinner. Hehehe."

"Do you want me to drive you to school?". My Pa driving me to school? That would mean, no Menrad and no Shawn, for sure. Oh, if only, if only I could defend myself, if only my ability was to...be an expert in karate but nooooo, my ability is to create *sweets*, pff!

"Yeah, Pa, that would be cool! Thanks!" I said as I give him a big hug. I'm so glad he's back. Maybe he could help me with my problems with Menrad, yeah, maybe. I'll talk about it in the car cause, if ever my Ma knows about Menrad...well, you know how mothers can be.

"Well, we better get going because I've an important meeting to attend at 8." he said while getting up from the couch and finishing his cup of black coffee. I took my bag, kissed my Ma good bye and I headed towards the door. "Oh, and Su, tonight I'm invited for dinner, so don't wait for me. All right?". My mother agreed and she and Pa kissed each other good bye.

"Shall we?". He opened the door and we headed outside. We entered the dark violet car and there we went. I'm so nervous, should I really tell him? Maybe he'll be mad at me for being such a weakling, geez, well, he's the only person who can help me. I *must* tell him!

As the car was moving towards Sunrise High, it takes about 5 minutes to get there, I assembled all my courage and started, "Pa, there's...there's something I must tell you. It's really important." After this sentence, Pa looked at me with concerned eyes. He slowed down the car and stopped (Of course, not in the middle of the road).

"...what's wrong Tommy?". My heart was beating really really fast but, I was sure that, after I tell him what's wrong, he would help me out and my torture would be over.

So, here we go, "Pa, I need...I need your help."

"Hey Taylor!" I yelled from some steps behind. Cookie turned around and welcomed me with a simple 'Hi!' and with no smile. I wonder what's wrong. Today, he didn't wait for me at the usual meeting point, so, let's hear his explanation. I hope he doesn't have any problems. "Cookie, why didn't you wait for me near the Ancient Garden? I hope---"

"Can't you give me a break?? Do I have to be with you 24/7? Can't you live without me for just a few minutes? And you know what? I've got other things on my mind besides you! I'll see you later." And he went off, no kiss, no smile, no 'I'm SORRY!'. What's wrong with him??? Why was he so rude to me? I was so surprised by Taylor's attitude that I remained standing like that, like a dumb. Until someone came and talk to me.

"Are you all right?". Jessica Runnels. It's been quite a while since our last chat. I heard she got some problems with her sister and that she broke up with Michael. She must be really sad. "I saw Taylor entering the school without you...which is pretty weird in my opinion. Did you two had a little dispute?"

I tried to smile a bit but, I was just so hurt by the rudeness of Taylor that I just couldn't. "He acted a bit weird with me today, I'm sure it's no big deal. And, how about you? It's been a while...are you...all right?". I hope she won't think I'm trying to hurt her, maybe I'm being rude. Or, it's just that...

"Oh, thanks for caring. You are always such a sweet boy. Well, I'm feeling pretty good, and you know what? My best friend just came back in town a few days ago. And..." She went on like this for a moment. She seems to be okay, I thought I was rude to her but...it wasn't the case. I wonder what happened to Taylor. "That's it. Well, I got to go now, I'll catch you later, all right?"

"Yeah sure! See ya!". I can't go inside right now, I've to wait for him. Now, that I think of it, how weird!

Oh god! What did I do?? Why was I so rude? I should have just said, 'I'm kinda worried, leave me alone.', but that would not have been enough for HIM. That bastard of Kevin, that little piece of shit! Man, if I didn't go away so quickly I would have fallen on my knees to ask Shawn to forgive me for what I said. Now...what is he thinking? Maybe he's mad at me...OF COURSE HE'S MAD AT YOU, IDIOT! Damn! Damn! Damn!

"It was perfect." said a voice behind me. Him, that's HIM! "I never would have imagined you were so cold and rude. Poor little Shawn!" What is he trying to do??? Make me angry, so angry that I would kill him?? "Now, that's only the first step...what is coming next will be... much more tough!"

"Why are you doing this, huh?? Shawn didn't do anything! Why do you have to make him suffer??" I asked, hoping that he would feel bad for hurting Shawn. Maybe he will feel bad. "Please, leave him alone...please?". What other choice do I have? The only way to save Shawn from all this is to beg him. If ever I do anything against him, that bastard, it would be all over for me and Shawn. I know it.

"Don't worry about him, Taylor. He will cry for a moment but then, he'll be able to get over the pain. After all, you made me suffer too, have you already forgotten? All the pain you gave me? Tell me, have you forgotten?". Damn! Why can't he understand...

"It was an ACCIDENT! I swear!! She was nuts, she wasn't controlling herself, she was going to KILL me! I had to defend myself!"

"By killing her??? Couldn't you have just knock her out?? But no!! You KILLED her!! And now, whether you like it or not, YOU are going to PAY!". He was cold and dangerous. I almost feared him when he talked. It's no use, he isn't going to understand. I'm doomed. "And don't forget, Taylor, that, if ever something happens to me, you are never going to see Shawn ever again. And you know why..."

"...Fuck you!". What am I going to do? Someone tell me, what am I going to do??

"What should I wear tonight? An expensive black smoking with a tie?". What a sweet heart, Scott is really a nice guy. I can't believe he's still single, well, fortunately for me, he is going to be my boyfriend.

"Nah, just put something that will fit good for a dinner with your girlfriend. Hehehe." I replied. Did he notice that I said 'girlfriend'? Will he like it? Maybe he'll think it's too early for that...or...maybe he'll think it's great as that's what he wanted. Yeah, maybe he'll like it. And what if he didn't notice it?

"Great then." He didn't, too bad. "I gotta go now, there's some work I've to do. So, I'll see you at Lunch time, okay?". I nodded in agreement with one of my most adorable smile. Then, something happened, he approached me and gave me a kiss...on the lips. Not the *tongue meets tongue* one but just *lips meets lips* one, but it made me shiver down my spine. "See ya later, girlfriend!". He noticed it!!!!

"One cup of coffee, please." Oh, life is so beautiful! Um...all right, maybe life was ugly a few days ago but since yesterday, it's very very beautiful. Scott changed it all, I can't believe that he changed it all.

"Hi." said someone besides me after I took my cup of coffee. I turned my head to see who it was but...I've never seen that guy before. "Oh, you must probably ask yourself, 'who is that guy?'". Can he read my mind? "My name is Fox, Fox McBerry."

"Did we meet before?" I asked a bit surprised.

"No, I don't think so." he replied with a smile. I started to walk to a table and I took a seat, he sat infront of me.

"What do you want?" I asked feeling a bit uncomfortable.

"I'm sorry, it's true that we don't know each other but...umm...when I saw you near the counter over there, I said to myself, 'Wow, what a cute girl, I wonder if she's single.' Are you?". Wow, for someone direct, he's direct.

"No, I'm not. Sorry." I replied, rather coldly I agree but, he gave me an impression of...untrue. I know it sounds strange, but it's...it's just a strong feeling. And, I've already found someone really nice to be my boyfriend and I didn't need another friend right now. So, bye bye Fox. "I hope you're not too upset." I said with a little smile. He looked at me with strange eyes, I could swear it was eyes of...anger. Yeah, eyes of anger.

"Sorry to have bothered you. Good bye." he replied and he went away. Weird. Oh well, let's just forget it. I've my boyfriend who coming for dinner tonight. Hehehehe.

"Tommy, whenever you have problems at school or whatever problem that you have and that you can't solve all by yourself, please, don't hesitate to come and talk about it to me or to your mother. All right?". Wow, Pa really took it well. He said he was going to talk to the Headmaster about it and that I didn't have to worry about Menrad anymore. He will never hurt me as long as Pa will be around. I'm so relieved.

"Thanks Pa! You're the best!" I replied with a wide smile. It was like if I learned that I won at the lottery. I really feel better now. Oh, the school is just a few metres ahead. Oh! That's...that's Shawn! He's waiting for me? Um, well, it seems like my troubles will be all over in just a few minutes.

"Here we are. And, don't forget what I told you, all right?" asked Pa with a smile. Instead of replying with a sentence, I gave him a big hug. Then he looked at me, still smiling, "You are growing up so fast. Soon, you'll have a son of your own who will come to you to tell you about his problems." Then, a little moment of silence. "I love you, Tommy." And he kissed me on my forehead.

"I love you too, Pa!". After another hug, I got out of the car. Shawn already saw me, I know it as he waved his hand to Pa. Then, after the latter went away, I walked slowly, the heart beating fast towards, the boy who suffered because of my cowardness.

"Hi, Tommy." he said, with almost no expression on his face.

"Hi." I replied, quite nervously.

"We gotta talk."

"I know, I'm ready to give you the answer you've been waiting for. I'm not scared anymore."
