2nd treatment was Cis - Platin (platinol, (is - Platinum, CDDP)
Etopside (VP-16, VePesid) Oct. 4, 1999
3rd treatment was same as 1st. Oct. 26, 1999
4th treatment was same as 2nd Nov. 23, 1999
5th treatment same as 3rd. Dec. 16, 1999
6th treatment - Cis - Platin (platinol, (is - Platinum, CDDP)

Bone Marrow Transplant. Tentative schedule below;
DETAILED PREPARATION FOR TRANSPLANT:
March 24Outpatient center @6:00am, CT chest/abdomen/head/sinus; bone age; ECHO/EKG; BAER hearing testMarch 28Injection of dye into broviac for MIBG scanMarch 29 &30thOutpatient Center12:00 pm MIBG scan both daysMarch 31Oncology clinic visitthey will do a bone marrow extraction @8:30 am then at 1:30pm Jason has a psychological review.April 3The big final talk with the BMT doc, Dr. Pietryga. We have a talk with him at 10:30am to get the low down on everything that will happen from there.May 2, 2000Jason is admitted for 4 days of intensive chemo and then 4 days after the chemo, they will give his bone marrow back in a transfusion. The chemo given is;
(Melphalan for 3 days),
(VP16 )
(Carboplaten) given continuously.May 9, 2000 TRANSPLANT
Bone Marrow Transplant starting at 2:00 pmIsolation in hospital balance of May or until his counts are up satisfactorily enough to go home.
- The medications he's on are;
- Diflucan ... to prevent antifungal infection in G.I. Tract
- Bactrim ... to prevent pneumocystis pneumonia
- Megace... appetite stimulant
- Zofran .... dissolvable tablets for nausea
- Neupogen shot after chemo for 4-5 days for colony stimulating factors to speed up the
growth of neutrophils (white blood cells) in the bone marrow.
