My Weasel & the Mikro5 Rx

As the new Mikro5 Rx was on special offer, I got one for my new Weasel. A bit later I heard there was a mini
antenna specifically tuned for the Mikro5 (soon to be available on Michael's website). So I ordered that one
as well. When it arrived I realised that the mini antenna was to be soldered directly on to the Rx board (after
first un-soldering the original antenna). Now, I know my soldering skills. Or more precise, the lack thereof.
A quick email to Michael solved the problem. I returned the antenna and Rx, and Michael send me a Rx with
mini antenna attached.

And this is what arrived in the mail:

I made a short extension wire for the battery: I don't like top plug/unplug the battery straight into/out
of the Rx. Those pins are breakable!

You may remember the extra carbon fiber I used on the TE. So I wanted to position the antenna at
right angles with the TE and center cf rods, meaning straight out to the tail. So, I taped some
masking tape on the pod and marked the line I want the antenna to go. All this, ofcourse, would be
much easier if you would o it before covering the pod and attaching it to the wing...

I took a pushrod, the same diameter as a pushrod sleeve.

And dremmeled a point at one end.

Stuck it into my drill.

And tunneled my way from the rear of the pod to the Rx cavity. I then pushed a pushrod sleeve through.

And now the antenna fits nicely in the pushrod sleeve, straight to the tail. And if I want to remove the Rx, I can do so without a problem.
