Steve has been doing foundation drilling for 35 years. His career began at the age of 14, working after school and during summer vacations, working with his Dad at the Bell Bottom Foundation Drilling Company.

After marrying his childhood sweetheart in1969, Steve went to work for the York and York Foundation Drilling Company, owned by his father and his uncle.

In Oct. of 1977 Steve decided it was time to do his own thing and started the Pro Drilling Company. That business was sold in 1983 to the Houston Foundation Drilling Co. And Steve went to work for the new owners who also owned Lewis Foundations (a very large foundation drilling CO) and Steve was hired as the General manager of that company in1985.

Steve Left Lewis Foundations in 1989 and founded the Cobra Foundation Drilling Company, which grew into the current Steve York Foundation Drilling Co. in 1994.

Steve York Foundation Drilling Company is a small business that operates in Texas only. We are however, small by choice, in order to maintain the quality of work that our customers have come to expect and value.

We drill Foundations for both residential and commercial projects with pier sizes ranging from 12 inches to 108 inches in diameter with depths to 20 feet deep and belled footings up to 108 inches in diameter. Foundation drilling "is in the York family's blood" so to speak. Steve's father and brother-in-law (Sherman York and Rob Scates) own Dixie Foundation drilling co. (a large Foundation Co....) Steve and his dad and brother-in-law work together on a lot of projects. Steve's brother Tommy York owns the Haskell Foundation Drilling Company. Steves son-in-law is also in the business. All of the York family foundition drilling businesses can and do work together when the need arises.

Steve is a family man, still married to his childhood sweetheart with two married daughters, a teenage son, a pre-teen daughter and two grandchildren.
