GOODRUM,Thomas
| 010 | Seeking further information on the GOODRUM clan who migrated to Grimes/Waller County in 1851 from DeSoto County, MS. Thomas GOODRUM, born ca. 1786 in Fairfield, South Carolina, died after the 1860 census in Grimes County, and was father to the following children: John Jefferson, Thomas P. (my gggrandfather), Eliza, Francis Marion, Rueben, Seaburn (aka Ceburn) and Mary Jane. The eldest son, John, settled in Milam county while all of the others settled in the portion of Grimes County that later became Waller County. Thomas, Thomas P. and Rueben Goodrum, as well as my other gggrandfather, James Davis, who came to Waller County in 1871, are all buried in the Hibbit cemetery. Their graves are unmarked.
