President: Shall preside at all meetings. She shall appoint standing and special committees; shall approve all expenditures, and sign all contracts; shall be a member ex-officio of all committees except the Nominating Committee. The retiring President shall make the chapter report at the ensuing Division Convention.
Vice President: Shall, in the absence of the President, perform all duties of that office and accept other duties to them assigned by the President. Further, she shall have charge of all official pins, badges and ribbons. She shall also serve as Social Chairman, arranging for hostesses and meeting places.
Second Vice President: Shall have charge of Scholarships & Education work.
Third Vice President: Shall have charge of the Children of the Confederacy (CofC).
Recording Secretary: Shall keep an accurate record of the minutes of all meetings. With the assistance of the Treasurer, she shall keep a list of members with their addresses and telephone numbers.
Corresponding Secretary: Shall conduct correspondence as required by the President.
Treasurer: Shall collect dues and other monies for the chapter and deposit funds in the name of the chapter in a bank approved by the Executive Committee. She shall make an itemized report at the regular meetings. The Treasurer shall be responsible for completing the per capita form and forwarding to the Division Treasurer. The Treasurer shall send notice for dues and keep the Secretary and Registrar advised of dues that have been paid in accordance with the per capita deadline. The Treasurer’s books shall be audited at the end of the term of office. The President will appoint a committee of three (3) at the May meeting to audit the books and report at the onset of the September meeting.
Registrar: Shall receive and perfect all applications for membership and transfers. Applications shall be forwarded to Division Registrar accompanied by the current fees and proof of eligibility. The Registrar shall keep a copy of the application papers prior to mailing to Division.
Historian: Shall arrange programs for the chapter meetings following the Historian General’s outline. She shall promote the interest in accurate and impartial history relating to the War Between the States.
Custodian: Shall have charge of all records, books of former officers, scrapbooks, records of the Recording Secretary, flags, pictures, and other properties of the Chapter. She shall also keep a list of material loaned out.
Recorder of Crosses: Shall have the duty of processing applications for the Bestowal of Crosses of Military Service, following rules in effect at the time. The application accompanied by proof shall be forwarded to the Division Recorder.
Chaplain: Shall off the prayer at each meeting; shall have charge of the Memorial Service and send appropriate chards when necessary.
Parliamentarian: Shall give ruling when asked. Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised shall be the parliamentary authority for this chapter.
Executive Committee: Shall be composed of the elected officers and shall have charge of the affairs of the chapter in the interim between Meetings.
Correct Use of the Confederate Flag Committee: Shall promote the correct use of the flags according to adopted rules.
Genealogical Records & Research Committee: Shall collect genealogical and other pertinent data on the Confederate Fighter, his parents, and his brothers and sisters. They will also maintain a book on our Confederate Ancestors’ Graves.
Notification Committee: Shall notify members of regular and special meetings and any other activities of the chapter.
Photography & Scrapbook Committee: Shall prepare a scrapbook of the chapter activities, following the rules and regulations set forth by the Organization.
Southern Literature & Poets Committee: Shall collect and send material on Confederate and Southern History to the Memorial Building Library, universities, state and local libraries and to promote interest in the lives and works of Southern poets.
Patriotic Activities: Shall propose projects that encourage chapter members to honor veterans with their time and/or gifts.
Ways & Means Committee: Shall be responsible for raising monies for the chapter.
Randolph Relief Fund Committee: Shall promote “love and friendship” from our chapter to recipients of the Randolph Relief Fund.
Scholarship Committee: Shall set-up qualifications for recipients, subject to approval by the chapter.
Publicity Committee: Shall endeavor to publicize the many worthwhile projects of the chapter.
