| Next up, we have JBI, a virtual unknown and "useless" card before people started to notice the effectiveness of this card when played against action-based decks. That is the sad truth and behind the origins of this card. Nowadays, it has slowly but surely developed into a much feared card that drives even the most powerful Kurt Angles nuts. 1 action card per turn?!!!? That is the equivalent of a drug addict who has enough money to get his fix, knows how & where to get it but due to some reason or another, cannot do so, and as a result, suffers greatly from the withdrawal symptoms. The withdrawal symptoms in this CCG is the inability to Puppies twice in the same turn or cheap pop & expect the next roll out of ring to go unreversed. What makes this card even deadlier is its ability to look at your hand and gather useful information as well as the justification to discard all your action cards.( Scared now, Kurt? ) Also, for the careless lot of you who use roll out of the way as an action, and forget about it & play another action, that's it. That's when he JBIs you and proceeds to make you even more miserable by whacking you with superior maneuvers, leaving you rueing your error. Ah, finally, a maneuver named Drop Toe hold, another one of the other unsung heroes. Though it may be harder to achieve that type of Fortitude (9), and the fact that is easily reversable by Elbow to the Face(5D), it is still a formidable card that can deplete your opponent's F rating so much so that he can't do his eagerly-anticipated TMF or Puppies back to restore his Arsenal to working order. Which is why Turn the tide decks won't work against decks that play Drop toe hold. This is because the one and only maneuver you TTT into would be taken out by the Drop toe hold. In other words, he takes the D of your TTT maneuver, you lose the F of your TTT maneuver and he gains the F of his Drop Toe Hold maneuver. Lastly, we have Get Crowd Support & Do You Like Pie. Two action cards with high F ratings. Never mind that. A good deck can always get to a F rating of at least 12 in every game. I strangely recall throwing away 3 of my Do you Like Pies when I had my first good look at it. There was only two words to describe it then. It sucked. Then, upon closer inspection, one of my raw deal mates noticed the loophole. He realized that he could choose one card only. Since then, everybody here has been playing Do You Likes. It's good----neither Face nor Heel. You can get ANY card you want and show it to your opponent. So what? THERE IS NOTHING HE CAN DO ABOUT IT!!!!! Playing 3 Get Crowds would get your next maneuver's reversal up to 36F and +12D, wiping out even the slightest glimmer of hope to reverse that dreaded TMF. This means that your opponent would have to scrap at least 32 cards, unless you are playing Road Dogg ( snigger..snigger...). After that, if he still ain't dead, stagger or something, then finish him off with a maneuver of 7D or less. The above 8 cards are truly overlooked by you people out there. Hopefully, this article has increased your awareness for this cards and you would implement them into your deck for better success. And That's the Bottomline cause' Stone Cold Said So! Back to Main |
