A Checklist of Roman Coins

I've found another useful book/pamphlet called A Checklist of Roman Coins by Wayne C. Phillips. This is for the collector that wishes to start on the path to collecting one of each of all of the known or more popular Roman coins including the Roman Republic period through all of the Emperors.

I obtained this pamphlet from Dennis Kroh, at Empire Coins. You can email Dennis at EMPIRE@JUNO.COM

Roman Coins and Their Values

Roman Coins and Their Values," by David R. Sear gives a very rough value of the worth of Roman coins. It is rather expensive, and I have heard that it is also out-of-print. In addition, it gives values in English 'pounds', not U.S. dollars which makes it difficult to make value determinations for Americans. The prices/values given appear to be outdated. There have also been several more kinds/types of coins discovered since this book was printed. So, my advice is to use dealer catalogs to get some idea as to values as you can get these either free or very inexpensively and they will give you a better idea as to values and prices.

General information about the above titled book was obtained from Mr. Derek Rowland.
