Our factory at Cochin, India is equipped with Plate Freezers, Tunnel Freezer and I.Q.F. machinery. Factory at Mangalore, India is also equipped with Plate Freezers and Tunnel Freezers. Factory at Madras, India has Plate Freezers.
It is packed as Whole uncleaned ie. packed as such caught from seas. It is also packed as Cleaned ie. it’s skin is removed as well as intestines, eyes and beaks are also removed. It is processed in Blocks as well as in Indivudually Quick Frozen ( I.Q.F. ). The normal standard packing of Whole as well as Whole Cleaned in Blocks is 4kg slabs. In I.Q.F. it is bulk packing. In Blocks, the slabs may be in Nett weight or in 10% Glaze. In Nett weight, the weight of the product will be 4kg and in 10% Glaze packing the weight of the product would be 3.600kg and the rest weight would be water. The whole is graded as:
Under/50gms, 50/100, 100/150, 150/300, 300/500, 500/700, 700/1kg, 1kg/up. The grading of Whole clean is Upto/1piece per kilo, 1/2, 2/4, 5/7, 8/12, 13/20, 20/40, 40/60 pieces per kilo. Presently there is a good demand for whole as well as whole cleaned in China, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong.
It is packed as Whole, Cleaned ie. it’s skin is removed as well as interstines, eyes and beaks are removed. It is processed in Blocks as well as in Induvidually Quick Frozen ( I.Q.F. ). The normal standard packing of Whole as well as Whole Cleaned in Blocks is 2kg slabs. In I.G.F. it is bulk packing. In Blocks the slabs may be in Nett Weight or in 10% Glaze. In Glaze packing, the weight of the product would be 1.800kg and the rest weight would be water. The whole is graded as: U/3, 3/6, 6/10, 10/20 pieces per kilo. The cleaned are graded as U/5, U/10, 10/20. Normally Squid Whole has a good demand in China, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong.
For your information, the Squids are also packed as tubes ie. Squid Cleaned without head, Squid tentacles ( head cleaned ie. eyes and beak removed ).
It is packed as Whole Cleaned. It is processed in Blocks ( 2kg slabs ) The normal grading is 10/20, 20/40, 40/60.
This shrimp is caught from the backwaters and it has good demand in Europe as well as in USA. The scampi is greenish in colour when compared to the other scampi caught from other Indian waters. Our company is the leading exporter of scampi along this region. We process this as headon as well as headless in I.Q.F. as well as Blocks. The normal grading for headon is 1/2, 2/4, 4/6 pieces per pound and headless is graded as 1/5, 6/8, 8/12, 13/15, 16/20, 21/25, 26/30 & 31/35 pieces per pound.
This is one of the product which has a good demand in Hong Kong, China and along that area. The season for this product along Kerala and Mangalore coasts starts by August/September. This is only processed as Whole in Blocks of 10kg. The normal grading is 100gm/200gm, 200/300, 300/400, 400/up.
We also process fishs like Reefcod, Pomfrets, Seerfish, Mackeral, Pearlspot, Sardines and other seasonal fishs. These fishes are processed in tunnel freezers.
