New Recommended Segregated Fund Group now joins two other favorites.
New recommended Seg.Fund Group The Hartford Group of Segregated Funds, with their parent company with holding over $180 Billion in assets, is now on my recommended group of funds, with very similar structure to NN Financial's Fund group.
Though a new Seg. Fund, it's holdings and Fund Managers show long term histories, AND they have an eXtra Special Guarantee or two, as well. (Including a Gaurantee of 200% of your Capital Investment - call for details! )
You will be seeing me using The Hartford Seg.Fund Group immediately.
Of Special Note is one of their Fund Managers, Mr. Budden - who, <irony anyone?> just happens to be my one of my own client's brother. Budden has had years of experience right here in Montréal, handling pensions, McGill-U. bequest investments and, who has joined to form the long standing and succesful McClean-Budden fund managers. Their results have put them in the Top Performers group along with my two other Favorites - NN Financial and Colonia's Seg. Fund Group. All three of whom have been in the TOPS in their own various areas.

- also noteworthy -
Colonia has just been bought by Empire Financial Group, who themselves, have their own group of Funds, both Load and No-Load ot Back-end loaded. We might see some jockeying both both Colonia and Empire Funds under the same parentage now, but the take-over is not yet clear in deliniation. Might this effect Colonia's Funds in Structure &/or Preferences? We'll have to stand back and wait and see.
Empire has their own very resonable history is the Seg-Fund markets also. Though, their current results are very good, they are no longer doing their remarkably well performances as they had done upto 5 yrs ago/approx
For those holding the Older Seg-Fund at TransAmerica called 'Big Fund A'- - you might want to hold on to this one, both for it's bond content, and because of it's far lower fee structure than their new "Grow Safe" Funds.
