TopSpeed Corporation This is the company that
developed the Clarion language and Clarion 5, a business application database development
environment.
Los Alamos National Laboratory is located in Los Alamos,
a small town in northern New Mexico. I work in Technical Area-53. This is a picture of the
mesas of the Pajarita Plateau stretching East from the Jemez Mountains towards Santa Fe.
Sierra Leone is a country in West Africa. I was
a Peace Corps Volunteer math teacher at the Bo
Secondary School for Boys from 1972-1975. This is a picture of a small Sierra Leone
village, not one of Bo. Bo is the capital of the Southern Province, about 200 km (150
miles) upcountry from Freetown. My house which was on the school grounds, had running water
as well as electricity. The major roads in Bo were paved.
I participate in the JASON Project every year
for the Clark County School District. I'm on their
Advisory Committee. Dr. Robert Ballard founded the JASON Project in 1989 after
receiving thousands of letters from school children wanting to know how he discovered the RMS
Titanic.
The Department of Energy sponsors a Science Bowl every year.
I participate as a Scorekeeper at the Nevada Regionals at UNLV.
I also created a Science Bowl Test Program for
students to practice for the competition. Have fun.
