Can you give me any information on David Davidson? I believe he is the photographer who did a very old picture I bought at flea market in 1972. The information on the back reads "Guaranteed Platinum - The Davidson Prints published by David Davidson, Prov dence, RI No 116" The photo was signed by him and called "A Real DAR" It shows a young woman in a long dress looking at her reflection in a mirror while she is putting on a straw hat. Not bad pics. I think you can get more contrast tho. Tri-X should be able to give 6 or 7 stops. Used to do my own B&W work. Bought a densitometer and that really helped out. Get nice, high-contrast prints with a minimum of fiddling. I also bought a print "daylight" tank. I only have to be in dark while I set up my prints. I can put two 8x10's or 4 5 7's in one shot. Simplifies the entire process. You don't get the magical joy of watching the print appear, but you also don't choke on the developer fumes! M
