Introduction:

Blue and white with underglazed red, a decorative material invented in Yuan Dynasty has reached its peak at Jiangxi Research Institute of Ceramics at the end of 20^th century. In the works, leaves were depicted in freehand brushwork in underglazed red, while the singing cicada was painted meticulous brushwork in color on glaze, which indicates that traditional Chinese painting integrated skillfully with the refined ceramic art decoration.
