1. The CA. State Contractor License Board will tell you if a contractor's license is in good standing, and their address and bonding information.

2. If a judgment is entered against a contractor, and he fails to report it to the CSLB within 90 days, his license is suspended.  But the license will be reinstated once the judgement is paid or is wiped out by the filing of a bankruptcy.
