He has been advisor to important national and foreign companies as Texaco Peru-Texas Petroleum Company, Natural Gas Distributor Gastalsa-Talara, Coper Contractors, Perupetro, Electroperu, APC Corporation, Energy Services and Fleming Latin Pacific which develop their activities in the business of petroleum, gas and other. He has worked for consultant companies through which he has carried out consultancy for YPF (Argentina), Repsol (Spain), Enron Corporation (USA), Barret Resorces (USA), Lukoil (Russia-Europe) and Limaplast (Peru).

He knows the Camisea Project from 1988. He has supported to the Peruvian State in the basic definitions in 1994-1995 for the negotiations that concluded with the signature of the Contract between Perupetro and Shell.

He has supported in the achievement of the concession for the natural gas distributor in Talara - Gastalsa, having negotiated directly with the authorities of the Ministry of Energy and Mines the corresponding Contract of Concession.

He has already begun a relative new research work about the distribution of natural gas in Lima and he has important and recent information. He has accumulated important information and is connected with professionals who have wide experience in the matters of Investigation of markets, surveys, grid calculations, cost estimates and economic evaluation.

Finally, along these years he has achieved an excellent relationship with officer personnel of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, CTE, Camisea Commission, Perupetro, Electroperu and others which allow him to develop fluency his supporting work.

Curriculum Vitae

W. Raul Cornejo is Mechanical Engineer of profession, recognized by CIP (National Association of Engineers), graduated from the National University of Engineering. He has more than 18 years of experience in the industry of gas and petroleum. He is an expert in microcomputer systems applied to engineering design, maintenance, planning, cost estimation, economic and financial analysis, studies of feasibility, market studies and proposals for bids. Mr. Cornejo has been qualified in Programming of Computers, Effective Planning of Projects, Programming PERT-CPM and Design of pipelines

He has participated in the formulation of very important national projects as The Jetties of Liquid Load of Talara, the Chambira Project, The Project of Aguaytía Gas and the Camisea Project. In relation to the last one he has been member of the Technical Team of Perupetro for the Evaluation of the potential of Camisea and the elaboration of the Study of Feasibility according to the agreement signed with Shell in 1993.

Also, he has dictated seminars in Mexico (1990, 75 Meeting of Experts of Arpel), in Lima (I Seminar of the CIER -Commission of Regional Electrical Integration -, July 1996, Projects of Electric Generation starting from the natural gas) and recently about Natural Gas and Energy in Perú (XIII Congress of Mechanical Electric Engineering, 25-28 august, 1999). 

He has participated as consultant of companies in the oil privatization and related business (LPG, refining and others).His experience includes the fields of Trompeteros (Petroperú) in the North Forest of the Peru like Supervisor of Maintenance and Chief of Planning. Also, there is a wide well knower of the country, having developed diverse studies in Arequipa, Mollendo, Matarani, Ilo, Juliaca, Cusco, Puno, La Oroya and Cerro de Pasco.

For a bigger knowledge in the formulation of proposals and elaboration of budgets, he has traveled to Talara, Pucallpa and through the route of the pipelines for Camisea project including Satipo location. Besides Mexico, he has traveled to Europe, specially to Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany. To study gas and oil experiences and negotiation businesses he has traveled to Colombia and Chile in South of America.

He has worked in companies like Petroperu, a State owned company which had the monopoly of whole petroleum industry in Peru in the past. He worked too for private company specially in design and engineering area. As independent professional he has developed consultancy services for companies like Perupetro , Electroperu , Business Management, APC Corporation, Limaplast , Fleming Latin Pacific Peru and other companies in the areas of economy of projects, market studies, configuration of projects, design, technician-economic evaluations in the areas of gas, petroleum and electricity and other business, also studies of transportation.

The undersigned technical formation is supported by solid studies in the National University of Engineering, complementary studies of high level and a self preparation very dedicated in the areas of hydrocarbons, calculation, computing, energy, economy of projects and some environmental legislation.
