Access Networks is changing from a functional organization to a projectized organization. The major issue faced by Access Networks, as well as most other technology organizations, is to increase the productive capacity of assets including people. Self directed product development teams have the possibility of doing so while providing an environment which encourages people development. This paper is the result of an exploration into what further changes may be needed at Access Networks to better utilize the productive capacity of the organization.
